In case you don’t know by now, I spent my spring break in London and Paris. Ever since I cam back, I find myself obsessed with these to MAGNIFICENT. I don’t think words can express how I feel about these places. Since coming back, I feel like I’ve had this obsession with these cities, especially London. I spend some of my free time looking at Forever and H&M online and constantly flipping through my magazines that I got from over there. I can’t help it. Check out one of my newest favorite blogs I’ve been following these past couple of weeks. It’s based around London street fashion.

On April 26, H&M will be launching their their line Fashion Against Aids. Various artists are involved in this year’s FAA collection. This collection is unisex one. 25% of the sales are donated to the charity DAA which is known as Designers Against Aids and other international HIV/AIDS prevention projects. According to the H&M site, The Fashion Against Aid campaigns have raised over 41 million Swedish krona. It’s always good to see fashion and music combining for a good cause.

Over Spring Break, I spent 5 days in London and 5 days in Paris. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I welcomed both cities with an open mind and open arms. I went to these great cities to study the English and French Legal Systems. I learned a lot about both legal systems and how they function. While my mind was focused on remembering the court systems, my eyes were glued to their keen sense of fashion. I must say, they dress pretty well!!! You can see some of the differences in some of their styles from that of over here. You can also note some of the similarities.
In London, it seemed like the people got really dressed up just because just like some of the people over here in America. It didn’t seem as though they were putting much effort into their outfits, like they just had a natural ability to throw anything together. Their outfits didn’t look like they didn’t know how to put their clothes together because it was apparent that they knew how to piece things. In Paris, it looked more like they were going more towards name brand things. Not regular name brands but items such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, Channel, Dior, Tiffany & CO, Folli Follie and Gucci.
This trip showed me that fashion is a universal language that is understood among those who understand it. For those like myself who follow fashion, these two cities are like candy to someone with a serious tooth. No exaggeration, these people dressed as though they popped out of magazines.
On this posts are pictures I took from magazines from France’s Glamour Magazine April 2011 Edition, Britain’s Stylist Magazine March 2011 Edition and London’s H&M Magazine Spring 2011 Edition.
This week was London’s Fashion week and The Style Scout snapped some pictures of people with fashionable taste. The Style Scout is a fashion blog. Check it out!!!!
